Who gets texts, and why
What we send: conversational messages, meaning two-way conversations with our office staff. For example:
- Clients and their family members: visit scheduling, changes to a visit or caregiver, reminders, and office follow-up about care.
- Caregivers on our team: shift scheduling, open shifts and shift changes, and office follow-up about their work.
Where your texts are kept
Messages you send us and our replies are kept in our office's scheduling and records system. That system may use software, including automated tools, to read and organize them, so we can keep your visits, schedule and records accurate and respond to you. It is for our office's use in serving you. We do not sell or share your number or your messages for marketing.
How you opt in
Texting is optional. You can receive care from us, or work for us, without agreeing to texts. If you choose not to opt in, we reach you by phone call or email instead. There are three ways to opt in:
- On our paperwork. The client service agreement and the caregiver hiring packet each include the optional, unchecked consent box shown below. You opt in only if you check it.
- On this page. The form below shows the exact same consent box.
- By telling us. If you ask our staff to text you, by phone or in person, we read you the consent wording below and note your agreement and the date in your record before we text you.
Text message consent
This is the same consent box printed on our client and caregiver paperwork.
How often
Message frequency varies with your schedule. Most people get a few messages a month; caregivers with active schedules may get more.
